Novice & New Member Meetings!

Smith College Debate Society is now holding weekly meetings for novices and people interested in joining! (Varsity are more than welcome to stop in.)

Our first novice/new member meeting will be this Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 2pm in Cutter living room. We will go over what APDA (American Parliamentary Debate Association) is, what we do in APDA debate, how to make cases, have a Q&A session, and we will serve amazingly delicious snacks. Please bring a notebook and pen/pencil or a laptop. Also, bring your friends!

Novice meetings after this will be held in a different location and time, to be announced. Meetings will cover all you need to know about debate and will be a safe, supportive space to improve debating and public speaking!
